Effective management is a universal requirement of all human activities. This unit introduces students to the roles, responsibilities, and functions of management and serves as a foundational unit for subsequent business units. Students will learn how to perform the four functions of management – leading, planning, organising/motivating, and controlling – strategically in an organisational setting and in a socially responsible and ethical manner.
