This unit builds on the earlier unit, ACC101 Accounting for Decision Makers. In this unit, students are introduced to the conceptual framework of financial accounting and how to apply these concepts to both manual and computerised systems.
It will enable students to be able to record, measure, classify and prepare reports on the financial information relating to unincorporated entities. This understanding will form the basis of further studies in the discipline of accounting which include more complex accounting transactions found in incorporated entities.
This unit also explores professionalism and basic concepts of business ethics.
